Questions to Ask an HVAC Greensboro, NC Specialist

If you have experienced any of the HVAC issues outlined earlier, you need to speak with a Greensboro, NC HVAC professional from Swaim Electric.

When you do, be sure to ask the following 13 questions:

1. What is wrong with my HVAC system?

The tech will want you to describe the issues you’ve experienced and then examine the unit for themselves.

2. What HVAC brands do you recommend?

At Swaim Electric, we’re Trane dealers in Greensboro, NC, but we also work with other types of units.

3. Can you provide me with a copy of the company’s HVAC license?

Swaim Electric can provide copies of our license, certification, insurance (liability), and other essential documents that permit us to operate in North Carolina.

4. Who installs the new Greensboro heating and air conditioning unit?

We employ only trusted and reputable HVAC technicians. We do not outsource or contract our jobs. You will always have air conditioning services performed by an employee of our HVAC company in Greensboro, NC.

5. What does the quote include, and what is not included?

This is an essential question for an HVAC Greensboro, NC technician. We will review the free estimate thoroughly so that you clearly understand what is included in the cost and what isn’t.

6. When can you begin the work?

The temperatures in North Carolina vary greatly based on the season. Be sure to ask when heating/air conditioning installation in Greensboro, NC can begin, especially if summer is approaching.

7. Do you offer a warranty for your work?

We provide warranties for all our heating and air conditioning services, so you don’t have anything to worry about with such a significant investment.

8. Will I need to address issues with humidity?

Our HVAC contractors in Greensboro will be able to examine the home and answer any questions about humidity. For example, a dehumidifier may need to be installed as a standalone unit or as part of HVAC services. Additionally, you may need a humidifier to add moisture to the air on your second or third floor.

9. Can I receive a tax credit for my HVAC installation?

Some units offer tax credits. We can review all of your options involving tax credits before you choose a system that is right for your Greensboro, NC home.

11. What kind of air filters can I use with new HVAC systems?

Every HVAC unit is different, so you might not be able to use the same air filter you used with your previous system. Options include HEPA, washable, and disposable.

12. Will I need multiple zones?

Some homes need multiple heating and cooling zones for the HVAC unit to run efficiently. Our techs will be able to examine your home and determine how many zones will be needed.

13. Do offer both residential and commercial HVAC services?

Swaim proudly provides residential HVAC services and commercial heating and cooling services. No matter your situation, we can install an air conditioner to improve your building’s environment. We just had the preventative maintenance done on our heating units at our home by Swaim. Our technician was Craig and he was very professional and knowledgeable. He told us exactly what he was going to do and how long it would take. He tested our systems and let us know exactly how they were functioning. He told us what to expect when they came back in the spring for the next PM service. We continue to be very pleased with the customer service and knowledge that we have experienced with everyone at Swaim.

Craig with Swaim Electric Heat & Air Conditioning just completed the maintenance and oil change on our Generac generator. The service was efficient and professional. Craig was also very personable, taking the time to explain various operational aspects of the unit and performing a load test to assure perfect working condition. Eddie Hill and Matt Czerkie were fantastic. They hooked up my 24KW Generac generator very quickly and professionally. They spread the gravel I bought, attached the concrete pad to make it look nice, and hooked up everything. We talked. We laughed. We had a really good time. They are very personable and efficient. They told me how long the power would be off to do the hookup, and it was back on to the second. Honestly, I wish I could only deal with them because they were so good…no, they were great. I wish them nothing but the best, and they are a credit to Swaim. Eddie and Matt do the installations, so ask for them if you can. You’ll thank me.Now, I need to add how great Craig and Scott B. were. When we had a slight issue with the generator install, Craig came out to address it. He was very, very nice and even explained an issue I had questions about unrelated to my generator. 1st class all the way. Scott B. came to start up my generator. He was so quick and knew exactly how to attach the load shedding devices. He even put on a mask when I told him my 1-year old had recently recovered from being sick. Helped me carry the ladder to the attic and did the job ever so expertly. He even let me video him instructing me how to shut off the generator so I wouldn’t forget. I don’t know if they’re drinking AWESOME juice over at Swaim, but I want some. You won’t regret choosing them.

We had Eddie And Austin come out and install our Generac Generator! They did a great job with the install also answering MULTIPLE questions that we had. Eddie and Austin explained the operation of the unit. They started work immediately and didn’t finish until the job was done. Asked if I was happy with everything before packing up to go home. Very considerate of my home and property. Big thank you to Swaim electric and great employees!
